November 2026
Happy November!
How can we possibly be getting close to the end of 2026!
I've now been creating Citynotes for over seven years. That's so crazy!
I absolutely love it. I hope you know that a lot of time and thought goes in to what I send to you, your friends and family. I try to mix it up a lot so you don't always get the same ideas.
This month, I have included two art fairs both of which will be happening in the Armory on Park Avenue and 66th. I have also included some fun art shows. I really respect and admire Jeanne and Jackie Greenberg. They are always thinking outside of the box and this months exhibit is a testament to that.
As many of you know, I'm completely obsessed with interiors and entertaining. I have included four separate ideas for a Thanksgiving meal. Whether its dinner, lunch, family, friends or any mixture of them. Hopefully you will enjoy some of the ideas. Lots of high low.
Lastly, I included a few new restaurants and a couple of new stores.
Wishing you and your families a beautiful month.
Enjoy! Be Kind! Be Safe!
Much love,
Patty

Art Fairs & Gallery Shows
Salon Art & Design
Park Avenue Armory
Salon Art + Design presents the world’s best design—vintage, modern, and contemporary—enhanced by blue-chip 20th-century art. The Salon’s inclusivity and willingness to consider both fine and decorative art in the context of contemporary life is predicated on the belief that today, more than ever, designers and collectors create environments rather than collect objects. The success of Salon lies in the quality of its exhibiting galleries, the extremely international flavor of the material, and an eclecticism that is highly sought by today’s collectors and tastemakers.
ADAA Fair
Park Avenue Armory
The Art Dealers Association of America (ADAA) is a nonprofit membership organization of the nation's leading galleries in the fine arts. Founded in 1962, ADAA seeks to promote the highest standards of connoisseurship, scholarship and ethical practice within the profession.
ADAA members deal primarily in paintings, sculpture, prints, drawings, and photographs from the Renaissance to the present day. Each ADAA member is an experienced and knowledgeable dealer in their field. ADAA has approximately 200 member galleries across nearly 40 U.S. cities.
Alex de Betak
SALON 94
This November, Salon 94 Design presents TRUSS LIGHT SCULPTURES 01, the first exhibition of sculpture by Alexandre de Betak and his first solo show in New York. Across two rooms, de Betak presents twelve works in which light, industrial form and material transformation are brought together into a new sculptural language.
For more than three decades, de Betak worked with light, scale and the dynamics of perception to redefine the spectacle of live shows. In this new body of work, he turns to the very apparatus that made them possible – the truss and the stage light. De Betak transforms this peripheral infrastructure from supporting act to protagonist – reimagining it as something with its own permanence, atmosphere and presence.
James Turell
ALMINE RECH
Featuring over fifteen works, this presentation will include a new Shallow Space, as well as new pieces from the Glassworks series and a new Cross Corner work. These additions to landmark bodies of work continue Turrell’s relentless exploration of space and light, encouraging viewers to pay close attention to their own senses.
Since the 1960s, Turrell has used light as his medium. A major figure of the Southern California Light and Space movement, Turrell’s work includes sculpted, seemingly solid blocks of pure light, rooms awash with slowly modulating light, and architectural structures that frame the ever-changing sky. Each piece extends the opportunity to be immersed in a contemplative, sensorial environment, directing our focus to the act of seeing itself.

IL BUCO VITA
Inspired by the undulating hillsides of the Umbrian woods. Nicky Kehoe
The original brass coaster from Nickey Kehoe, in a new slightly heavier weight that won’t cling to to bottom of your glass.
This has an Unlacquered polish finish which will patina and age beautifully with use.
Indian Rose
ABASK
I love a block print always! I love the casual nature it brings to the overall table as an anchor. In the block-printing capital of Jaipur, Chamois’ expert craftspeople use hand-carved wood stamps to block-print by hand onto beautifully woven cotton and linen—you might even see a small line or two reflective of this. Patterns are guided by antique fabrics uncovered by the founder, Charlotte, which are given a new lease of life through hand-mixed palettes. The Indian Rose series is made up of flowers and foliage, all framed by a decorative border.
The Elegant Thanksgiving Table

Cocktail Glass
ABASK
Ok ...a little high.....Josef Hoffmann designed Lobmeyr’s Patrician range in 1917, fueled by the idea of creating balanced stemware with perfectly flowing contours. To create its signature ultra-thin muslin glass, expert artisans work with wooden molds at virtuoso speed to create crystal 0.7 to 1.1mm thick. Here, the iconic silhouette is reimagined in a suitably regal gold luster.
Hand-Turned Wood Salt and Pepper Mills
YAMANI WOODWORKS
A little wood on a table is always important! When it comes to spice mills, Yamani Woodworks gives equal weight to form and function—essential, given that these pieces often take pride of place at the center of the table. From its workshop in Ōmachi City, Japan, each mill is hand-turned, cut and lacquered by skilled artisans, crafted with both purpose and presence in mind.
An Minimalist Thanksgiving Table
Ryan Finney Bronze Chandelier
NICKY KEHOE
Bronze Chandelier from designer Ryan Finney. This gestural piece from Finney was first formed in plaster before being set in bronze using lost-wax casting.
Chandelier has saucers suited for a tealight or short candle. While a votive would contain any candle melt, one can only imagine how divine this piece look after long evenings spent collecting drips of wax.
Measures ~ 22”D x 13”H
Concepted and created in Ojai, California, Ryan's body of work is comprised of artful objects made of plaster and bronze. The notion of the unencumbered simple life and the natural world are his recurring muses — unique three-dimensional sketches from a “rustic lost world.”
