Mother's Day
Happy May!

I love May! Happy Birthday to all fellow Taureans! Hopefully, the enormous amount of rain is going to bring incredibly many flowers!

This Month I am celebrating the exciting opening of the new and improved Tiffany's Flagship on 57th & Fifth. As part of the celebration, I have included a group of potential Mother's Day Gifts from the icon Elsa Peretti! Elsa Peretti designed jewelry and home products, all of which are timeless and relevant to the present day. Make sure to go to the new Tiffany's.

For some reason, at the moment, I am also completely OBSESSED with decorative Candle Tapers and Candlesticks. There is no rhyme or reason for this, but simply they feel like they are having a moment! I adore them. I have included a range of painted, shaped, and carved candles with an assortment of candle holders. I truly love each one! Go onto the Bable website and enjoy all the fun designs they offer. I adore these as a Mother's Day Gift!

In terms of Art....May is choc-a-block with Art Fairs and New Art Shows! So much fun..... The art fairs start at different dates, so make sure to take note of that. From the new Luc Tuymans Show to Mark Bradford...All will NOT disappoint!

I have some new exclusives coming to market at the beginning of May, which are spectacular, so look out for those. We have some incredible deals for 1 bedroom Pied a-terres or starter apartments. Take a look!

Have a beautiful month!

Elsa Peretti’s iconic Bean design is a symbol of life’s origins. A beautifully humble form, the bean’s simple shape, natural contours, and smoothness always appealed to her. The sculptural, organic collection captures her signature talent for creating irresistibly tactile objects that remind us of the beauty inherent in nature. Peretti’s fine silk Bean designs feature a handwoven net and tassel crafted by Japanese artisans.

Bable
English Fruit Candles
English Fruit Candles
Hand poured from beeswax, this candle has a soft honeycomb scent. Natural and renewable, beeswax has a longer, cleaner burn than traditional candles. When lit, it emits negative ions that cleanse the air of dust, pollen, and toxins - like a beautiful, natural air purifier! And to top it off, beeswax is also believed to help boost creativity and a better night’s sleep.
Oaxacan Floral Candle
Traditionally used for celebrations; can be burned or used as a decorative object. Each flower is carefully shaped by hand. These candles are creatively made from inspirations deriving from Mexican culture.

Hay Pastel Candles
With their original shapes and extensive palette, HAY Candles aren’t just for burning – they add a sculptural element to tablescapes on their own. Made in Italy, they come in twisted, conical, or spiral variants in a wide range of colors. Sets of 6.

MARK BRADFORD
YOU DONT HAVE TO TELL ME TWICE
HAUSER & WIRTH
542 WEST 22ND ST
APRIL 13TH-JULY 23
MARK BRADFORD
Hauser & Wirth presents ‘You Don’t Have to Tell Me Twice,’ a major solo exhibition by Mark Bradford filling the entirety of the gallery’s 22nd Street building. The artist’s first show in New York since 2015 features a deeply personal exploration of the multifaceted nature of displacement and the predatory forces that feed on populations driven into motion by crisis. Primarily known for his unique style of ‘social abstraction,’ Bradford turns his attention toward figures, including his own, of flora and fauna—predators and prey—that move within dense, dreamlike abstracted landscapes, masses of material, color, and line.

CECILY BROWN DEATH AND THE MAID
METROPOLITAN MUSEUM OF ART
April 4th - December 3rd, 2023
FIFTH AVENUE
CECILY BROWN
For more than twenty-five years, Cecily Brown (b. 1969) has transfixed viewers with sumptuous color, bravura brushwork, and complex narratives that relate to some of Western art history’s grandest and oldest themes. After moving to New York from London in the 1990s, she revived painting for a new generation alongside a handful of other artists—many of them also women—at the very moment critics were questioning its import and relevance. The first full-fledged museum survey of Brown’s work in New York since she made the city her home, Cecily Brown: Death and the Maid assembles a select group of some fifty paintings, drawings, sketchbooks, and monotypes from across her career to explore the intertwined themes of still life, memento mori, mirroring, and vanitas—symbolic depictions of human vanity or life’s brevity—that have propelled her dynamic and impactful practice for decades.

One of the most important painters working today, Tuymans pioneered a distinctive style of figurative painting beginning in the 1980s that has been singularly influential to his peers as well as subsequent generations of artists. Tuymans has been represented by David Zwirner since 1994; this is the celebrated artist’s seventeenth show with the gallery and his first solo exhibition in the United States since 2016.
