Happy June!
Happy almost Father's Day!
In this month's CityNotes I have included some MUST SEE Theater!
A Doll's House is off the charts and only on till June 10th....don't miss it!
Since it's June and the summer, I always think it's fun to include some great fun ice cream spots! I'm most excited about Bananas which is owned by Morgansterns, however, it's all VEGAN! You can also order it online and serve it for your next dinner party!
I also thought it would be fun to add some great Father's Day Gifts...I essentially used Robert as my muse and therefore included his first choices for gifts...For those of you who know him you know he is a real lover of books! Heywood Hill is the go-to present we use...you can buy a years supply of books which arrive monthly based on the recipient's taste! Or buy the father in your life a rare book...also a great gift!
Again, because of summer arriving, I added some great portable bbq grills. Chic and easy. Fun for your outdoor dinner on Father's Day!
And some fun personal gifts for Father's Day too! One of our favorite stores 45RPM!
Randomly, I am a bit obsessed with plaster...so I added it to the Design Section.
Lots of great exclusives! Have fun perusing the wonderful properties!
Don't forget to click the link for the exclusives ( at the bottom of CityNotes) as well as the Market Reports for Manhattan, The Hamptons, and Palm Beach. All Douglas Elliman Market Reports. You can link to individual reports in the Market Report Section.
Please continue to come to my website PatriciaGreeneIsen.com you can also find all of the past CityNotes if you want to remind yourself of a specific restaurant, activity, or gallery at CityNotes.

The Hudson Theater
|
|
A Doll's House was a three-act play written by Norwegian playwright Henrik Ibsen. It premiered at the Royal Theatre in Copenhagen, Denmark, on 21 December 1879, having been published earlier that month. The play is set in a Norwegian town circa 1879.
However, Jessica Chastain has updated and modernized this Incredible thrilling reinvention of Ibsen’s A DOLL’S HOUSE. Directed by Tony nominee Jamie Lloyd, one of contemporary theater’s most revolutionary auteurs, and adapted by acclaimed playwright Amy Herzog, this new production makes freshly relevant a story that shocked audiences and brought forth a new era of theater.
If you can, try to get to see it ASAP! It's phenomenal!

Bananas

Morgenstern’s BANANAS – the softer, dairy-free side of Morgenstern’s – is here to reimagine non-dairy ice cream for the 21st century. Just like Morgenstern's Finest Ice Cream, Morgenstern’s BANANAS is built on our obsession with making the best non-dairy ice cream.
Inspired by the tradition of American soft serve, Morgenstern’s BANANAS takes a fun, silly, and deliciously sweet approach to America’s favorite dessert.

Peter Harrington Rare Books
|
|
They date the start of their business to 1969 when Peter Harrington issued their first catalog from a stall at Chelsea Antiques Market on King’s Road. In 1971, he joined forces with his brother Adrian and formed Harrington Bros. They proved a successful team, selling old and rare books from what claimed to be the world’s first antique market. Over the 1970s, they expanded, and by the early 1990s, the brothers owned the whole market, which at its peak housed more than a hundred stallholders.
